Visiting Schools

Over the last few months the team have enjoyed taking up the invitations that several schools have extended to the Churchwide office to attend Career talks or expo events.  We have partnered with ALC and Lutheran Community Care (for Schools in SA) and have had some wonderful conversations with young people interested in career and service opportunities in the Church and in Lutheran Schools.

We’ve also had conversations with parents who might also be interested in serving or working for the church.  We have actively promoted the internship programs from Warrumbui and Tandara Camps, The Luminate Gap Year program offered by LYQ and the Frontier program offered by St Luke’s Albury.

We see this as another way to show the school community that the Church is present and interested in them and that the Church is planning on being around for the long term.
