Call for submissions for ALC’s Festival of Learning
Australia Lutheran College (ALC) is calling for submissions from potential presenters for its 2023 Festival of Learning, which is to be held from Tuesday 21 February to Thursday 23 February.
The 2023 theme, ‘Holy and dearly loved – called and clothed’, is inspired by Paul’s advice to the Colossians:
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience (Colossians 3:12).
You are invited to indicate interest in presenting at the 2023 Festival of Learning under this theme. Potential presenters should define the theme broadly as an eclectic range of presentations designed to appeal to participants with diverse interests and perspectives. Presentations can be focused on theological, biblical, missiological, practical, cultural, Christological or ethical aspects of the theme, current research or any other conversations or topics connected to the theme.
Sessions run for 50 minutes and generally take the format of a presentation, followed by a time for questions. Presentations will take place online, so those presenting do not need to be located in Adelaide.
Expressions of interest close at the end of October. Please email your expression of interest to alc@alc.edu.au with a title and synopsis of the proposed presentation.
The Festival of Learning provides an opportunity for people to come together and learn from each other while reflecting on faith, ministry and theology. Further information is available at www.alc.edu.au/festival-of-learning
