Festival of Learning a first for ALC
Open to anyone, anywhere, Australian Lutheran College’s (ALC) Festival of Learning (15–19 February) used a hybrid approach to bring people together on campus and online, with the majority favouring a remote learning experience.
Many of the 113 registered participants were sampling ALC’s academic program for the first time, while the festival also provided a platform for a number of LCA/NZ Local Mission departments – Grow Ministries, New & Renewing Churches and Lutheran Media – to deliver training.
Participant feedback has been encouraging with comments, such as:
‘I really appreciate how ALC is working to serve the church in creative and relevant ways. Well done!’
‘Great concept that needs to be continued.’
‘Fantastic initiative, effort and organisation!’
‘Do it again!’
Thanks to all who gave their time to present at the festival. Special thanks to the team of students who provided technical support during the week and ensured that things ran smoothly behind the scene: Jeremy Smith, Jacob Fabich, Tom Krahling and Luke Crouch.
